In celebration of September “Self-Care Awareness Month,” BLK GETAWAY is hosting the first inaugural Selfish Sunday Experience—a day-long self-care event dedicated to black queens setting boundaries, reclaiming their time, and relishing in experiences and content that is important to them (unapologetically).
This year, we’ll kick things off with a full day, jam-packed, virtual experience on September 27th hosted by BLK GETAWAY founder/CEO, Delisha Fields. You’ll be able to kick back and enjoy live and pre-recorded self-care sessions, including fitness classes, interactive workshops, demonstrations, and Q&A’s, lead by black female influencers and industry experts. Delisha Fields, BLK GETAWAY Founder/CEO, will host and Moderate Q&A’s throughout the experience. After the sessions, enjoy a live Ladies Night Happy Hour via zoom—meet the other registered guests, drink, and girl chat with the her.
Yoga session combining modern yoga moves with rhythmic music (hip hop, soul or R&B) to help you distress, elongate, and restore balance in your life. Lead by Trap Vinyasa™
Cardio workout session hosted by Fitness Coach/Trainer Amanda Baker. She will show you how to use your body weight to strengthen, tone, and burn calories (no equipment needed)!
Guided meditation lead by Yoga and Meditation Coach, Namaste J. This meditation will help you release tension and leave you feeling empowered to overcome setbacks and adversities.
A mixology lesson hosted by blogger/content creator of The Cocktail Snob, Camille Wilson. She’ll show you how to make 2 delicious cocktails for your next kickback, girls night in, or happy hour (using some common items in the kitchen). And what food to pair them with.
A Q&A with Sex Therapist Kaycee Polite. During this sexual exploration session we will discuss guest questions related to self-pleasure, orgasms, and how to step your sex game up while in isolation.
A REAL Q&A with Carolyn Gray, Founder/Creator of Noirebud—a luxury CBD product line. We will explore the CBD industry, how she got started, the differences between CBD + HTC, CBD misconceptions, and the different benefits of using CBD products for everyday pain points/issues!
A mental health check-in surrounding black women and how they process social triggers. Kimberly will also educate viewers on The Enneagram—an immersive personality test that identifies 9 personality types and how they relate to and perceive the world—and how it can aid black women in self-discovery, better understanding themselves, and healing. Ask anyone who has experienced The Enneagram and they’ll tell you it’s a lot “deeper and wider” than any other personality test.
A cooking demonstration hosted by Meiko Temple founder of Meiko and the Dish. Meiko will show you how to make an easy, yet delicious brunch recipe for you to make at your next kickback or Girls Day Brunch (all without the hassle of being in the kitchen all day or spending $$$ on groceries).

How much is Selfish Sunday?
This year, Selfish Sunday is completely FREE! To sign up, click the “secure my spot” link found on this page, add your details, and you’re all set!
Is this an in person event or online event?
Due to the uncertainty of the pandemic and COVID-19, this year’s event will be completely virtual, meaning content will be available online via live stream or pre-recorded for you watch and rewatch at your own pace throughout the day. Note: the schedule above showcases icons, next to each session, indicating the content that is “live” vs “pre-recorded”
What happens after I sign up?
Once you secure your spot, you will receive a confirmation e-mail that includes next steps and event details. Closer to the event, you will receive additional updates including a link/code to access the event landing page, downloadable one-sheets to follow along with the content, updates about the speakers, and more
How long will I have access to Selfish Sunday content?
All Selfish Sunday video content will be uploaded and available on the event landing page for 72 hours after the event date (so, you’ll have access to watch the content from 9:30 AM EST, September 27 - 6:00 PM EST, September 30th). After 72 hours, content, digital downloads, and product discounts will be available on BLK GETAWAY’s member network—THE BLK NETWORK

This day is all about you sis (FINALLY)! From the content to the conversations, we are making it a priority to put a black woman’s needs front and center. In addition to content, you’ll have a chance to meet other Selfish Sunday attendees and network in our Girls Group Chat slack group + join us for a LIVE post event virtual happy hour! On the day of the event, you will receive a link/code to view all of the content listed above (watch what you like, in the order you like), updates throughout the day when content is live/available, access to our BLK MARKETPLACE to shop products from black women owned brands, and so much more!
